Core Curriculum for Post Anesthesia Nursing Practice

This text provides current information on the post-anaesthetic and post-surgical care of PACU/ASU patients. It covers all areas of CPAN and most areas of CAPA certification exams. There are new chapters on PACU emergencies, ACLS, management, pain and haemodynamic monitoring. The surgical chapters use a nursing process format to assist the reader in setting appropriate post-operative priorities. Up-to-date information is presented on all anaesthetic agents which should help readers preparing for both the exam and clinical practice. Specific references for each chapter allow for further study.
