Many subjects are covered that were not in the first, such as susceptibility tests, antiviral and anti protozoan agents, venereal disease, gram-negative sepsis, infection in the compromised host, and Mycoplasma infection. Other new chapters pull together information previously scattered, such as Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia and various Pseudomonas infections.
