The Waiting Days

Living a sheltered existence in the heart of 1940s India, fourteen-year-old Nesta Hartley is beginning to grow up. When her father employs a new gardener, Sunil, he and Nesta form a friendship that threatens to have grave consequences, for Sunil has become enmeshed in a plot to bring down the British in India.
