The Terran Colonies: A Book of Science Fiction Short Stories

First the Earth sent out her colonies to orbiting space stations, then the Moon, Mars and some mining towns on the asteroids. What was surprising about these colonies declaring their independence as had nearly all colonies of the Old World on earth itself. Then this new government, The Confederation Of Terran Colonies, sends out colonists of its own. Will Earth be left out or once again send out its own colonists? Finding worlds to settle on is of paramount importance but what will they find on those worlds and can they succeed in placing their colonies. What about other races of beings in space who want some of these same planets for their own colonies, do we fight for them?
