This atlas spans the whole of history from the formation of the earth until the late 20th century. Each page contains detailed colour maps, accompanied by clear, explanatory text. Step-by-step sequences describe such things as the growth and decline of empires, and the movements of armies. Picture maps illustrate ways of life, and trade and exploration routes.
