The Theory & Practice of Teaching

An introduction for all teachers, whether they be in schools, colleges or universities, to the wide variety of different approaches and techniques, theories and methods of teaching. While many trained teachers are given a grounding in the theory of teaching, this training can often be limited in scope, or focused on current or most popular techniques. Many other teachers, in colleges or universities, have no formal training. This work looks in detail at the many teaching techniques that can be called upon at different times and in different situations, and how they can be used successfully.
