Anne Frank (History Maker Bios (Lerner))

An account of Anne Frank's life as a young, Jewish girl growing up in Hitler's Germany. The book describes the Frank family's escape from Frankfurt to Amsterdam, their two years in hiding in a secret annex, and finally their capture by the Nazis. Anne's precious diary gets left behind. Anne does not survive Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. But her father survives and, after the war ends, returns to Amsterdam, finds Anne's diary, and publishes it.
