Urban Health: Readings in the Social, Built, and Physical Environments of U.S. Cities

New responses to the urban environment have arisen in the late 20th and early 21st centuries; responses that provide grounded and cohesive insights and plans of action to confront social inequality, health disparity, and environmental injustice in U.S. cities. Some draw from the roots of health, housing, and environmental reform; others grow out of new paradigms, most importantly environmental justice. Urban Environmental Health is a collation of analysis and action from these incisive and dimensioned responses.
