MacWorld Office 98 Bible (Bible (Wiley))
Book Details
Description
After a quick introduction to the Office suite as a unit, the book attacks the programs one at a time. Coverage for each program includes stats on entering information, formatting it attractively, and printing it. The explanations use sequential procedures liberally and back them up with option tables and explanatory text. There's also a Top 10 section for each Office program, in which the authors clarify common points of confusion. For example, they explain how to keep Excel from interpreting as a date every cell value involving a "/" character.
The book falls somewhat short of the mark in its coverage of programming with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), but overall it's an excellent value. Anyone who runs Office on a Mac and sometimes gets stuck for a procedure will appreciate Macworld Office 98 Bible.--David Wall
