1912. With a vocabulary of new words. This little book contains the notebook in which between the years of 1904 and 1910 unpublished Hausa phrases and words were noted down whenever heard during the author's stay in Northern Nigeria. They are published with the hope that students of Hausa may find them useful in the attainment of a more perfect knowledge both of the spoken language and of the native's mental and physical modes of recreation.
