Critical Thinking for Working Students

This text uses real-world employment surroundings and adult situations to teach critical thinking skills to working students. It extends concrete examples and exercises to practical circumstances in everyday experience, in and out of the workplace. Building on and integrating the student's experience, the text provides a foundation for life-long learning. A case study approach allows students to use their new skills in resolving problems at work by having them solve problems "from scratch." Abstract reasoning skills and formal logic are related to practical work and adult experiences.
