Heinrich Ernst Kayser (1815-1888) was a German violinist, violist, pedagogue and composer. His most famous work is his opus 20, 36 Elementary and Progressive Studies. Originally written for the Violin, it has been transcribed for Viola and edited by Leonard Mogill.
