Power Plant Electrical Reference Series, Vol. 5: Grounding and Lightning Protection

The goal of this volume is to develop an understanding of system grounding and lightning protection. A selection and a review of applicable published literature and industry standards were performed to guide generating-station personnel in the design, procurement, testing, and maintenance of equipment for that purpose. This volume discusses types of grounding and lightning protection equipment and delineates the system requirements and diagnostics for problems unique to it.
