Treasures of the Heart

Tessa Montgomery has known Like Hunter since she was five years old. Back then, he treated her as the pesky friend of his little sister and didn't have much to do with her. Now, he seems to be around all the time. He accepts the co-chair of the first annual fundraiser of the Durant Business Committee, even though she's the other chair. He asks her to help redecorate his parents' house as a surprise for their anniversary. Everywhere she turns, Luke seems to be there.

Just as she is trying to gain respect in the community as the owner of her antique store, she feels that Luke inadvertently undermines her authority. She can't seem to figure out the reasoning behind his actions or his strange behavior at times.
