There are more than three hundred questions attributed to God in the Hebrew scriptures. The writers have God asking questions in the process of establishing and maintaining a relationship with persons and later with Israel. Included in this book are eighty-seven questions and/or groups of questions. Using the
New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, the order of books is from the Hebrew bible, not the Protestant Christian bible.
The questions are listed first with the biblical reference; second, the background story of the questions is given; third, the reader is asked to think about the application of the questions for today's time; and fourth, there is a New Testament biblical reference for further meditation.
