Making Faces

Kids love having their faces painted: witness the long lines at the carnival face-painting booth, or the popularity of temporary tattoos. With Making Faces, they can move far beyond those simple images to elaborate full-face designs mimicking animals (bear, tiger, dinosaur, rabbit), humanoid characters (harlequin, clown, witch, wizard), striking scenery (Egyptian sunset, tropical island, underwater landscape), kooky motifs (all-over patterns of rainbow and clouds, ice-cream cone, clock, star-lit or bat-filled sky), and more. Instructions for each include helpful step-by-steps for the face, some easy headgear or accessories directions (such as animal ears, fairy garland, pirate eye patch), simple costume suggestions, and tips for makeup application or further embellishment.
