This volume contains 75 inventive alphabets from the medieval and Renaissance periods, culled from some of the greatest museums in the world. Containing designs from the eighth to the 17th century, these upper and lower case alphabets include work from Albrecht Durer's 1553 engraved Prayer Book letters plus monographs, initials and period numerals.
