Well, maybe not "instant," but Pat Spielman's latest collection delivers more quick and easy patterns and projects than you'll find anywhere else in print. And because they come from the workshop of the most popular author in the field of woodworking, you can count on them to be attractive and popular as well. The secret of the Spielman quick-and-easy method lies in his pre-painted artwork-patterns that are already prepared, which you adhere to a piece of wood, and then simply cut out the pieces with your scroll saw. Once you finish sawing, your work is done--no additional painting or finishing is needed. All the basic guidelines are covered, from care and maintenance of your saw and other equipment, to decoupage and other application techniques, to proper cutting methods. Nowhere else will you find so many charming projects: a Bear Hearts Umbrella, Ballerina Bunny, Birdhouses on Poles, a What I Did at School Today Magnet, a Key House, and many others, including a versatile alphabet design with animals that go with each letter. You can also create some more difficult-looking projects like the Floral Clock, a Rocking Boy Clock, and a Gargoyle. Then enjoy making holiday gifts from a basic seasonal tree that you can decorate for Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas, the birth of a baby, and actually just about anything you want to celebrate. Simply use the many projects in this book to light your imagination, then cut out, paste, saw, and enjoy! 128 pages (all in color), 8 1/2 x 10.
