📖 Description
Unlike standard instructional pool books that focus on what to do and how to do it-the mere basics-Advanced Pool teaches you why you do what you do-the next step to playing better pool. George Fels emphasizes the thinking side of what is a decidedly mental game and explains the various popular pool games conceptually rather than on a ball-by-ball basis. You win this game by consistently stringing shots together, pocketing one ball while stopping the cue someplace advantageous to pocketing another. Covering the games of Advanced Straight Pool, Advanced Eight-Ball, and Advanced Nine-Ball, Fels instructs you on the finer points of break shots, inside/outside English, intentional scratches, rhythm, and dead stroke ("pool's magic kingdom"). Filled with more than one hundred clear, instructive diagrams. Advanced Pool will have you shooting stick like a pro!
