One section of this book deals with corporate power, focusing particularly upon ownership and control in large US companies. A second section dealis primarily with the working class, analyzing the incidence of poverty, characteristics of political organization and the nature of agrarian radicalism. In the final part of the work, Zeitlin turns to an examination of class and power in the less industrialized world, concentrating upon Cuba and Chile.
