This book considers the reforms and policy changes required in the rural sectors of ten countries that have started the accession process for membership in the European Union. These countries are Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The papers in this volume have been selected from presentations made at the Third World Bank/FAO EU Accession Workshop held in June 2000.
