Exploring General Music in the Keyboard Lab, Teacher's Guide (Audio Midi)

Exploring General Music in the Keyboard Lab is a general-music performance-based curriculum designed to support your existing program. Exloring General Music is not piano lessons. Theare are many piano method books readily available for teaching students to play the piano. Exploring General Music is based on many years of incorporating keyboards into the general music classroom, and teaching into the general music classroom, and teaching keyboard ensenbles, and other keyboard-related programs at the elementary and middle-school levels. This field-tested curriculum teaches basic music theory, ensemble performance, improvisation, keyboard literacy, and listening and analysis skills. It also provides individual and cooperative learning opportunities for composing, practicing, and performing music. All of the lessons in Exploring General Music reinforce many of the National Standards for Arts Education which are listed on page 32.
