Most older adults lead productive, happy lives, without significant levels of disability or illness. In this well-written text, the editors integrate concepts of health aging with larger salient issues of aging from the psychological, social, and biomedical fields. The book contains a useful section on issues surrounding service provision with this growing population. This is a very useful text for teaching in this interdisciplinary field.
