Dante's Comedy: The Inferno (v. 1)

Translated by Nicholas Kilmer, and illustrated by Benjamin Martinez. Dante called his great work The Comedy - signifying a narrative with a happy ending. The narrative is about the journey of the human spirit through trial, and toward salvation. The journey takes place in three segments of which this, "The Inferno," is the first.
