Home Care Nursing Handbook

In this edition, the emphasis has shifted from diagnosis-based to symptom-based. Material is formatted and expanded to supplement the care provided by nurses using critical pathways, which are increasingly used by home health agencies. Appendices and procedures are updated to reflect information on lab values, high-tech care, and behavioural health and safety. Goals and outcomes are discussed in terms of the new OASIS form.
