Communicating Myths of the Golden Age Comedia

Nine mythological plays by Lope de Vega, Tirso de Molina, Guillen de Castro, Calderon de la Barca, and Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz are analyzed in this book. This study identifies changes wrought on a classical text by Hispanic dramatists, and discusses some of the linguistic, sociological, and psychological repercussions of these revisions.
