His 3 sections deal with the Holy SPirit's work in conversion - in some depth; The he does 9 studies in New Testament examples of that work. His final section concerns the Holy Spirit's sanctifying work - not least as the one who assures believers of their adoption and hope.At the same time he is very realistic about human weakness and varied experience. Very refreshing as it was written before the Charismatic renewal came along.
