This work covers the period from the club's founding in 1875 to 1893, when the poor Edinburgh Irish emerged as a non-sectarian community club. The book shows how Hibernian undertook a crusade throughout Scotland spreading the gospel of football leading to the formation of the Glasgow Celtic.
