Studies on the History of Papermaking in Britain (Collected Studies Series)

This book contains all the articles pubished by the late Dr A H Shorter in a wide range of periodicals. Shorter's pioneering work on British papermaking is well-known and his two books still are the basis for such historical research. These articles cover a different range of work and often contain informatio not included elsewhere. Not only do they give the histories of many mills after 1800 but they go into greater depth for each county than was possible in his "paper Making in the British Isles".
