Author's Insights: Turning Teenagers into Readers and Writers (Heinemann/Cassell language & literacy)

Many books and articles have been published in recent years about what teenagers should read and how literature should be taught to teenagers; these ideas and proposals have generated much discussion, but it has not changed the fact that most teenagers don't love to read. In all of this, no one has asked the opinions of those writers whose books focus on teenagers as their main audience -- the very writers kids read and identify with.
