This second edition of CSWE's popular compendium of peer-reviewed gerontological teaching resources is a useful tool for all social work educators at undergraduate and graduate levels. The 16 selected syllabi represent aging courses at BSW and MSW programs and cover a wide range of topics, including direct practice, human behavior, policy, death and bereavement, introduction to aging, and aging and the family. Also included are 25 examples of curriculum infusion materials for nonaging social work courses. Among these materials readers will find sample assignments, exercises, modules, case studies, media recommendations, and an annotated list of online and traditional resources on aging and intergenerational matters. This volume was organized to meet the teaching needs of all social work educators, regardless of specialization or gerontological experience. The content reflects the editors' approach to social work education as one of preparing students to work with people across the life span and developing an appreciation for the diversity of the older population. This compendium is a collaboration between the Association for Gerontology Education in Social Work and the CSWE Strengthening Aging and Gerontology Education for Social Work project. It was funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation and supported by the Hartford Geriatric Social Work Initiative.
