The Kentucky Rifle (Longrifle)

This well-known book was the first attempt to tell the story of the American longrifle. It was published initially in 1924, and has gone through six editions, inspiring many readers to learn more about the subject. The book is heavily illustrated, with 126 plates, many of which show 4 or 5 different rifles. This edition retains the original text and illustrations with supplemental footnotes provided by Dr. George Shumway.
