Japanese hole punch bound Kenneth Rexroth book of love poems. These early editions were reprinted, handbound, handstitched, handset at Unicorn Press by Elmer Pitchard. Rexroth's poems are frugal in language with getting across the love of these poems written for his longtime assistant Carol Tinker, whom he married. The book is dedicated to beat poet Gary Snyder to use as love poems for Snyder's wife, Masa Uehara. Beautiful, sparse and moving. The book has thick papers and is handbound in the Japanese Hole Punch style with calligraphy and Japanese style art: contains 11 poems with 13 pieces of art, all done by Rexroth himself. The poems, as well as the brushwork, are all Eastern inflected.
