There is growing interest in the field of Mechanically Alloyed, Metastable and Nanocrystalline Materials, particularly in linking basic research with the technological requirements of industrial applications. This text attempts to ensure that the various disciplines involved in the study, development and commercialization of theses materials are well represented. This book aims to address the key issues in this field of research, and includes coverage of topics such as the synthesis and processing of metals, intermetallics, oxides, polymers, nonocomposites and other materials, as well as, characterization, thermodynamics and modelling, mechanisims and knietics of loss of metastability and coarsening and mechanical applications.
