Pa's Harvest

For the past few years, Ephraim's father's potato crop has failed almost entirely. But this year there is hope. However, a good crop cannot ensure a good market. Since no one has any money to spend on potatoes, Ephraim's father must turn to logging to make ends meet. When he returns months later, the potatoes have rotted, and father and son must dump them in the river.
