Cemeteries of Henry County, Georgia

We are pleased to announce Cemeteries of Henry County, Georgia in one fully indexed volume! The culmination of many years of work.

All known cemeteries were re-surveyed and plotted with GPS coordinates on maps; and the alphabetical listings include detailed directions to each cemetery. There's an entire section of maps to help locate cemeteries within the county. The largest cemeteries have illustrations to help locate specific sections. Numerous photos of some of the oldest or unique grave markers are shown. Included are all known African-American cemeteries in the county--which to our knowledge have never been published. We certainly acknowledge the earlier extensive cemetery documentation by the late Franklin Garrett and Vessie Thrasher Rainer. A 3 ½ page addendum lists markers from individuals born in the 1700s who died in Henry County, Georgia. This large limited edition hardbound book is 933 pages, 8 ½" x11" in size, fully indexed, and more than two (2) inches thick.
