Reporting on the Global Economy: Journalists in an Interdependent World is the work of two journalists, one American, one Japanese, both of whom attended the fourth annual U.S.-Japan Media Dialogue in Kamakura, Japan, on December 12 and 13, 1999, under the auspices of the United States-Japan Foundation Media Fellows Program. Rich Miller, Senior Writer at Business Week, draws freely on the discussion at the Dialogue, which focused on journalism and the globalization of the world economy, and presents the major themes that emerged.
