Scientist and Astronaut, Sally Ride (American Women in Science Biographies Series)

As a girl, Sally Ride loved sports but not school until a wonderful teacher introduced her to science. Her interest in science grows, leading to a Ph.D. in astrophysics, acceptance into the NASA training program for astronauts and finally, after passing rigorous tests, Sally becomes the first American woman in space.
