This charming book is comprised of excerpts from the guest book at Marvin and Aletha Patchen's tiny cabin in the Cataviña desert area of central Baja California. These unvarnished and eclectic entries take readers on a vicarious tour of the diverse Baja California peninsula. Some guests relate their experiences hiking, bicycling, kayaking, and whale watching; others write of their wonder at seeing the nearby cave paintings and petroglyphs or spotting the unusual birds and plants of this largely undeveloped region.
