A wealth of research and literature exists on instructional strategies designed to teach chained tasks in community settings. Community-Based Instructional Support offers practical guidelines for applying instructional strategies for adults who are learning community-based tasks. This book provides a sequenced strategy for a) selecting person-centered instructional goals, b) developing quality task analyses of community-based, chained tasks, c) selecting instructional strategies and environments that promote generalization and maintenance while respecting the dignity of the learner, and d) collecting "user-friendly" data for making decisions.
