Ocean Waves

The authors have both used Ocean Waves blocks to teach design techniques and the bias-strip-piecing method in their classes. They became intrigued with the black when they examined its structure and used it as an alternate block pattern for Ocean Stars in A Dozen Variables. Several block variations of Ocean Waves emerged along with the Bios Square in Back to Square One. Ocean Waves is the result of the authors' continuing fascination with this traditional quilt design.
