Cracking Up!

The Word 'Crack is not just a Cocaine derivative but also has reference to fun, frivolity, joviality, hilarity and having a good time. If what someone said to you just "just cracked you up," then more than likely, you were bent over double laughing! Contrary to that of course, sometimes the seriousness of life often breaks through the small defense of humor, so much so that the weight of problems placed on the heart and mind, can often leave you with a sense that you are losing your mind, your marbles, your capacity to cope. In this sense as well, I am sure we have all felt that we are "Cracking Up" I have always maintained that life, death, mens brown woolen socks, infinity and eternity are all far too serious matters to approach without a touch of humor, a touch of wit, a touch of Jesus in the night, that is more light than heavy, more loving and laughing than morbid and miserable!
