Is God a Terrorist?

The author takes the view that terrorism is not the exclusive preserve of religious extremists - neither are intolerance, hostility, and violence. He argues that the current state of our religious and secular cultures has its origins in the values and social ethics of the archaic warrior-hero culture described in Homer's epic poems Iliad and Odyssey. Like predatory beasts, intolerance, hostility, and violence have plagued human society since ancient times. The author examines how, and why, religious terrorists kill and maim - and what we could be doing about it.
