Walking with Contemplation

What do Mahatma Gandhi, Thomas Merton and Maria Montessori have in common? What about Marie Curie, Martin Luther King, Eleanor Roosevelt and George Washington Carver? Based on a series of presentations in San Francisco Bay Area parks, Walking With Contemplation is a collection of biographies of these and other great beings. Although these individuals varied greatly in interests, talents, professions and mission, their lives all reveal meaning through effort, sacrifice and dedication to an ideal. Through the biographies presented here, we find inspiration, hope and the strength to continue forward in whatever challenge and work awaits each of us in our lives.
