Wings of fire

The volume of 80 poems subtitled, 100 Hours: Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Desert Calm chronicles the period of the Persian Gulf War. The title of the book featuring a flamingo draws on ancient history of the Middle East. The flamingo symbolically means phenicopter--"wings of fire."
