the Oseberg Skiff:the Female Journey

In poetry, and one piece of prose, the author details her memories of being a child in the midwest during WWII and her on-going struggle to become a writer. The metaphor for this search is taken from a Viking ship discovery belonging to a woman, thereby giving authenticity to her role in society.
