Flannel Talk

Flannel Talk is the third book in the Love Notes series of early childhood books. The series enables caregivers to help young children in the many facets of early language development. Flannel graph stories should be looked upon as a means of stimulating the imagination and improving the oral language of childen. Making their own flannel board as well as the characters in the story will aid the child in language power, self-confidence and will help the child express creative talents. Children exhibit special emotional pleasure when they plan, cut out and manipulate figures to go with a favorite story. Further steps include creating their own stories and poems. All of these one to one activities increase the bonds between the caregiver and the young person.
