Building a Framework for Workforce Solutions

This report will be helpful to hospitals and health systems of all sizes that want to improve their employee recruitment and retention results and/or develop a pipeline supply of employees. Both nursing and allied health workforce issues are addressed. Building a Framework for Workforce Solutions provides a strategic framework for workforce issues along with a host of tools for assessing the organization's current status and future needs with respect to workforce initiatives. It includes checklists for identifying critical workforce issues and target audiences as well as assessing organizational relationships and conducting an inventory of workforce marketing tools, programs and relationships. Also featured are sample workforce business plan and marketing plan formats and an extensive list of additional online resources. Numerous examples of strategies and tactics successfully used by hospitals and health systems are included.
