Shipwreck! The San Francisco Tragedy

This book combines two important ingredients: The first half of this book is a short novel about an Army hero and his new bride as they spend a few days in New York City prior to boarding the "San Francisco" on her maiden voyage to Caifornia. The second section reports in depth via newspaper clips, Army and Government documents the chaos of the sinking of the ship. Included is the chilling report by one of the survivors. The hero of the first section and his bride are among scores of soldiers lost in the sinking.
