FaithSkills
Book Details
Description
In order to utilize this book to its fullest, the reader must accept the author's premise that although humans possess a body, a mind, and a spirit, we are essentially spiritual beings. With our minds, we discover the intelligence already within us; with our bodies, we have experiences that define our spirits. Concentrating on our spiritual awareness allows people to grow and succeed in ways they never thought possible.
There are thirteen "faith skills" that ordinarily would not impress the reader. For example, obedience, honesty, discipline, and humility are four of them and are familiar words in everyone's vocabulary. Yet when these thirteen skills are applied through spirit, the effects produced are easily viewed for all to see. Action happens and, according to the author, "action speaks volumes about who we really are."
The purpose of this book is to re-educate the reader by demystifying the practical skill of faith. The author provides a concise road map to help navigate through the discovery process, as well as stories which are designed to stimulate the relationship between mind and spirit. "Focus boxes" or inserts are also placed throughout the chapters, and contain thought-provoking insights into personal real-life situations. Some of these boxes are blank, and the reader is encouraged to record what they have learned.
The entire book is delightfully planned to make it not only a pleasant reading experience, but also to put the self back into the reader's self-esteem, and, if practiced, guarantees success in all aspects of life.
